We had a good weekend, not as relaxed as I would hope but it was still good! Saturday we went to my mom's and Mike helped clean out the pole barn because they are having a cement floor put in. Yesterday we drove to Port Huron to cook out and take Jacob to a beach. He had a bunch of fun! There were a lot of rocks where we went and the water was really shallow so he could walk out pretty far. For people who don't know Michigan it is in the thumb. After Jacob played for a while we drove around the thumb to Caseville and walked on the peir. It was about 9:30 at night but people were still out. Then today we spent the day doing yard work and more wedding stuff.

Here is a funny picture of me and Jacob - trying to look cool!!

sounds like a fun weekend. the cookout and hanging out on the beach in PH makes me a little nostalgic for MI. you know i'm from there, right?

Cool! I know where that is, my sister is from Royal Oak. I am about an hour away. I like Michigan but I wish Mike would get transferred to a different state. Somewhere more open to attachment parenting, breastfeeding, co-sleeping etc.

i hear ya. my friends from high school are all pretty much the opposite of me when it comes to parenting. i'm glad i was able to move away from that.
maybe you guys can move out here to CO. :) we have a great AP group already established in boulder county!

Hi Christina! I love the new blogs. I know what it's like to plan a wedding...stressful. We had to plan ours from AZ!! My Mom was our savior in MI and did so much. I think that the picture of your and Jacob is so sweet!! I love your sunglasses...so Hip! I wish you would post more pics with you in them too! By the way, what is Attachment Parenting?? I have to study up on these parenting terms.

Thanks Jenny :) I am so glad you checked in! I will send you some links to explain attachment parenting on myspace. I am a better talker than a writer, lol. In short it is a very gentle way of parenting. Co-sleeping, babywearing, breastfeeding, etc.. There is amore so I will send you some info!
