Geez, I haven't blogged in a while. Jacob and I haven't been feeling too well the last week. We have both had colds, he hasn't missed school or anything just feeling yucky! We picked my sister up Saturday for The Family Values Tour (a concert/festival). It started at 2:00 and the last band, KORN got done around 11:00. Boy am I getting old!! I was so tired after! If you have read my blog you know we go to a lot of concerts but I haven't been to an all day long festival like one in a couple years. The last was Lollapalooza about 3 yrs ago. It sure can wear you out. It was still worth it though. The bands were Deadsy, Bury your Dead, Stone Sour, Flyleaf, 10 Years, Dire en Grey, Deftones, and Korn. (all links are myspace just in case anyone wants to hear the band. I recommend Flyleaf and 10 years, they are not as heavy as the rest) It was my first time seeing all of the bands except Flyleaf. We had lawn tickets (only 10 bucks :) and it was raining most of the day. We stopped at a sporting goods store and bought some cheap poncho's before we got there though so we had something to sit on and keep us fairly dry. They allowed camera's but mine was too big to take in so i took some pics of the crowd with my cell phone.
The stage before Stone Sour came on.
The wet muddy part is where the pit was.
This picture was taken in the same place we were standing in the pic above - just now mass chaos from the pit!! The stage is to the right of this picture but everyone is looking towards the pit.
Well that was our weekend :)
In other news - our cat Toonces is pregnant!! She got out for 2 days before the honeymoon. I had already called around to find the best priced vet to get her fixed and we planned on taking her as soon as we got back. Well we decided to wait a while to get her fixed - just in case - and sure enough she is pregnant. She is all of a sudden a very sweet cat and all she does is eat and sleep!! She is showing too and if she lays right I can feel them. I am just trying to look at the bright side, that this will be a great learning experience for Jacob and he will have fun playing with them. They need to nurse for 6-8 weeks so we can't give them away for a while.
Owe well - you live and you learn.
