We had parent teacher conferences yesterday and Jacob's teacher said so many wonderful things about him!! He is doing great in school and loves it!! They are studying silkworms for science and she said Jacob is quite the scientist. They also read chapter books in class and right now they are reading The Tale of Despereaux: Being the Story of a Mouse, a Princess, Some Soup, and a Spool of Thread by Kate Dicamillo. He had a book fair at school this week and he came home with that book and we are now reading it at home too. She was so happy he bought it and wants to read it again! I told him to let me know where to stop so I don't get ahead of his class. They also read 2 other Kate Dicamillo books, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane and Because of Winn-Dixie. I think we are gonna buy those too!! He also bought a book called Bad Kitty by Nick Bruel. We read that one 3 times and now he is reading most of it on his own.
