First of all I haven't had a chance to write in a couple weeks so I wanted to say Happy Birthday to Jacob who is now 8!!! His birthday was March 15th. He had a really good birthday this year. We had 2 small parties for him. We took him to Chuck E. Cheese with some friends and then we had all of the grandparents over another day. It was really nice to have a smaller party. He got lots of great gifts too! This is a picture of him taken by my mom the summer after he was born.



Jackson, our dog, had to have surgery yesterday. On Tuesday night he started bleeding from his penis so we brought him in yesterday morning. They did an x-ray and found bladder stones. He is doing ok now. He goes back in a couple weeks to get the stitches out and then he needs to be started on a prescription dog food so it doesn't happen again. When they did the x-ray they also found he has a slipped disc in his back. They said it really isn't logical to do anything about that because he is 10 and just the MRI would be $1000.00. He said he shouldn't go upstairs anymore unless someone carries him and we need to get raised food bowls so he doesn't have to bend over to eat and to not let him jump on the furniture. It hasn't seemed to bother him yet though so the vet said to do those things and we will just keep an eye on him.
