I just got off the phone with my grandma, she is home and out of the hospital. She has to have a nurse come by 2 times a day to change her dressing from the surgery but she seems to be doing pretty good.
Jacob is writing his 3's backwards and I can't seem to break him of it so I had him paint his numbers a few times. He thought it was cool. In the first picture you can see his first attempt at the 3.
We got a bit messy :)
Here is jacob standing in front of the sprinkler last night.
We played the game Life last night. I can't wait until he is just a little older and he doesn't knock the whole game with all of its pieces over every time he spins or moves his piece. Yes, I am exaggerating just a bit - it was like every other turn. I just have to keep repeating patience christina, patience. It was still fun, although I do miss the Hi Ho Cherry-O days.
Speaking of patience, Jacob has been testing mine lately. He has been arguing with us way too much. Not with things like feed the dog or pick up your toys. Just random things we talk about he argues with us.
A couple examples for you:
Dad: Hey the neighbors are mowing their lawn for the first time
Jacob: No, it's not the first time - they did it yesterday too (he is saying this as we stare at the 2 foot long grass)
Jacob: I missed my bus, It just passed the house.
Me: Don't worry that bus passes by our house everyday about a half an hour before yours.
Jacob: No, I saw it, it was my bus.
Me: (in a snotty voice) Ok Mr. know-it-all. How did you know it was yours? Owe because it was yellow. Guess what kid they're all yellow. DUH!!!!
Ok, don't freak out - I didn't really say that but that may have been going through my head at the time, lol.
Anyway, it is driving me insane!! It just happened all of a sudden. I just have to ignore it and hope he stops.
