We are back at home :) We did not have to cut our carpet - yeah!!! The lady who tested our house today said this we were the first home she has had that didn't have to cut out the carpet. The only place she got any mercury readings was in the garage next to the garbage bags where we threw the mercury and the steam cleaner away. When she was leaving she told me that Michigan recently past a law against mercury thermometers. Stores can sell the inventory they have but can not purchase more. We usually use the digital one but the battery was out so I had to search the house for the other one. I am just so happy everyone is safe.
